Tropical Bedding

Bring the warmth and energy of the tropics into your bedroom with our bold tropical bedding collection. Featuring rich palm prints, exotic botanical designs and vivid colourways, these sets create an immediate sense of warmth and personality in any bedroom.
When choosing tropical bedding, consider the scale of the print and how it will sit in your room. Large, all-over palm or jungle prints work best in larger bedrooms or on king and super king beds where there is space for the design to breathe. In smaller rooms, a tropical print with a little more white space or a slightly smaller repeat can prevent the room from feeling enclosed. Keep walls and other furnishings simple — white, cream or soft grey walls with natural wood furniture create the best backdrop for bold tropical prints.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of prints are included in tropical bedding?

Tropical bedding typically features bold prints inspired by rainforest and jungle environments, including palm leaves, monstera plants, hibiscus flowers, exotic birds and bold botanical designs.

What colours are typical in tropical bedding?

Rich greens, deep teals, warm yellows, vivid corals and tropical blues are the most common colourways, often used together for maximum impact.

What sizes are available?

Tropical bedding is available in all standard UK sizes from single to super king, with matching pillowcases included in most sets.

How do I style a tropical bedroom without it looking overwhelming?

Keep walls neutral — white or cream works best — and limit other accessories to plain pieces in colours drawn from the bedding. One or two botanical cushions and a natural-fibre throw are usually enough to complete the look.

Is tropical bedding suitable for children's rooms?

Yes, tropical prints can work brilliantly in children's bedrooms, particularly designs featuring animals and birds alongside the botanical elements. They are colourful and engaging without being overly themed.

How do I care for tropical print bedding?

Wash inside out on a cool cycle to protect the bold print, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight which can cause the colours to fade over time.

Can tropical bedding work in a cool climate?

Absolutely. A bold tropical print actually works beautifully in a British bedroom because the contrast with the grey outside creates a sense of warmth and escapism that is genuinely uplifting.

What fabrics are tropical bedding sets made from?

Most sets are made from polycotton or cotton blends that are practical, easy to wash and designed to hold their vivid colours well through repeated laundering.

Bring the Warmth of the Tropics Indoors

Tropical bedding has a distinctive energy that few other styles can match. Bold palm leaves, vivid hibiscus prints, exotic birds and lush jungle foliage all bring an immediate sense of warmth and vitality to a bedroom, transforming it from a functional sleeping space into something that feels genuinely vibrant and individual. This is bedding for people who are not afraid of a little colour and drama in their home.

Despite its boldness, tropical bedding is more versatile than it might first appear. Against a plain white or neutral wall, a strong tropical print becomes an arresting focal point without overwhelming the room. The key is to keep other elements in the room relatively simple, letting the bedding do the work. For complementary pieces, our cushion cover collection includes tropical and botanical designs that extend the look naturally, while our botanical and leaf bedding collection offers a slightly more understated take on the same nature-inspired theme. For summer styling, our summer bedding collection shares a similarly warm and vibrant character.

Making a Tropical Bedroom Work

  • Bold, Statement Prints: Tropical designs work best when they are allowed to be the star — keep surrounding accessories simple to let the bedding command attention.
  • Vivid, Warm Colourways: Rich greens, deep teals, warm yellows and vibrant corals create that unmistakable tropical warmth.
  • Year-Round Appeal: Tropical bedding is popular in summer but can actually work throughout the year, bringing warmth and energy to the bedroom even on grey winter days.
  • Easy Care Fabrics: Available in practical polycotton and cotton blends that wash well and maintain their vivid colours through repeated laundering.
