🏡 Discover Your Perfect Blind
Soft & Cosy: Roman Blinds
Roman blinds bring soft, elegant folds of fabric to your window. They are a fantastic, stylish alternative to curtains, offering a wonderfully warm and luxurious feel.
- Best for: Living rooms, bedrooms, and anywhere you want to add a touch of everyday luxury.
- Clever choices: Opt for a blackout lining in the bedroom for a great night's sleep, or standard lining for a softer, filtered light in your living spaces.
Simple & Practical: Roller Blinds
The ultimate practical all-rounder! With a wonderfully neat roll-away mechanism, roller blinds are fuss-free, easy to use, and fit seamlessly into any space.
- Best for: Kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, and busy family spaces.
- Clever choices: Choose moisture-resistant fabrics for steamy bathrooms, or blackout rollers for the kids' bedrooms.
Clever Light Control: Venetian Blinds
Venetian blinds feature horizontal slats that you can easily tilt, giving you total control over how much natural light and privacy you want throughout the day.
- Best for: Kitchens, bathrooms, and rooms that face the street where flexible privacy is key.
- Clever choices: Faux wood is brilliantly durable and moisture-resistant (giving you that expensive shutter look for a fraction of the cost!), while real wood adds beautiful natural warmth.
📏 How to Measure (It's Easier Than You Think!)
Please don't be daunted by measuring! Getting it right is simply about taking your time. Grab a metal tape measure, a notepad, and a cup of tea, and let's get started.
Step 1: Inside or Outside the Frame?
- Inside the recess: The blind fits snugly inside your window frame for a clean, built-in look.
- Outside the recess: The blind hangs outside the frame, which can actually make your window look bigger and blocks out more light around the edges.
Step 2: Measuring the Width
- For an inside fit: Measure the width in three places (top, middle, and bottom) and write down the narrowest measurement.
- For an outside fit: Measure the exact width you want the blind to cover. We recommend adding at least 5cm to each side so it overlaps the wall nicely.
Step 3: Measuring the Drop (Height)
- For an inside fit: Measure the height in three places (left, centre, and right) and write down the shortest measurement.
- For an outside fit: Measure from exactly where you want the top of the blind to start, all the way down to where you want it to finish.
A quick tip: Always measure in centimetres and double-check your numbers before hitting order. We always say: measure twice, order once!
🧼 Keeping Them Looking Lovely
Life is busy, so keeping your new blinds clean should be completely fuss-free:
- Roman Blinds: Give them a light vacuum using the soft upholstery attachment. (Always check the care label, as some delicate fabrics are dry-clean only).
- Roller Blinds: A quick wipe with a damp cloth usually does the trick. Try to avoid harsh chemical cleaners so you don't damage any special fabric coatings.
- Venetian Blinds: A regular dust with a dry cloth or duster keeps them looking fresh. For tougher marks, a slightly damp cloth works wonders.
💡 A Few Clever Styling Secrets
- Layer up: Pair a Roman or Roller blind with curtains. It looks incredibly luxurious and makes the room feel wonderfully cosy.
- Beat the condensation: Choose our faux wood Venetians for bathrooms—they give you that gorgeous, premium shutter style but can easily handle the steam without warping.
- Tie it together: Match your blind fabric to the accent colours in your cushions or throws to make the room feel professionally designed.
Smart style for real homes. Beautiful living made simple. Whether you love the soft folds of a Roman, the brilliant simplicity of a Roller, or the clever control of a Venetian, we are here to help you get it exactly right.
