Novelty & Fun Throws & Blankets

Life is too short for boring throws. Our novelty and fun throws and blankets collection brings together the designs that make people smile — quirky patterns, playful prints, and characterful designs that say something about the person who chose them.
Novelty throws work best when used with confidence — half-heartedly introducing a quirky throw into an otherwise very serious room tends to look uncertain rather than fun. In rooms that already have personality and warmth, a novelty throw is a natural fit. In more minimal or formal rooms, a single well-chosen fun throw can be used as a deliberate contrast that adds character without disrupting the whole scheme. Most novelty throws are made from soft fleece or polycotton and are fully machine washable, making them practical as well as cheerful. They also make excellent gifts — a novelty throw in someone's favourite colour, pattern, or featuring something they love is almost always a popular choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of throws are included in the novelty and fun range?

Our novelty and fun throws collection includes a variety of styles, sizes, and fabric types — browse the full range for current availability.

What sizes are available?

Our throws come in a range of standard sizes — check individual product listings for the specific dimensions available in each design.

Are these throws machine washable?

Many of our throws are machine washable, though always check the specific care label on each product before washing.

What fabrics are used for throws and blankets?

Our range includes fleece, faux fur, cotton, knitted, woven, and sherpa fabrics depending on the individual design.

Can I use a throw on a bed as well as a sofa?

Yes, throws are versatile and work beautifully draped over a bed, sofa, armchair, or used as an extra layer on colder nights.

How do I style a throw on a sofa?

Drape it casually over one arm of the sofa for a relaxed feel, fold it neatly over the back, or bunch it at one end for a more lived-in look.

Do throws help with warmth and insulation?

Yes, a good quality throw adds a meaningful extra layer of warmth, particularly on evenings when the central heating is off.

How do I care for my throw to keep it looking its best?

Follow the care label instructions carefully. Most throws benefit from a cool machine wash and should be reshaped while damp and air dried flat to maintain their appearance.

From quirky pattern prints to playful character designs and bold, fun colour combinations, these are throws chosen because they make people smile — and that is a perfectly valid reason to choose a throw.

Novelty throws work naturally alongside our novelty and fun cushion covers for a sofa that has real personality, and they complement the designs in our novelty and fun bedding range for a bedroom that reflects the same spirit. Our full throws and blankets shop covers every other style available.
