Sales Assistant

The successful applicant will be required to work 5 days on 3 days off (33 hours / week approximately) - thus ensuring equal sharing of all weekend work.

Successful applicants will be paid £6.50/hour increasing to £7.00/hour after 3 months

Objective Of Role

Help to maximise sales for the store and across wider channels
Provide first class customer service
Carry out stock management and store operation processes

Responsibilities

Greet, assist and sell to customers
Operate computerised till and handle financial transactions
Merchandise and replenish stock as directed
Assist with deliveries and stock handling as directed
Undertake cleaning and housekeeping duties
To unpack deliveries and check despatch notes
To accurately price stock and ensure proper stock rotation
To learn about the products and provide customers with product information
To deal with internet orders from initial order to despatch
To use our computing equipment / systems dealing with internet orders

Experience Required

Experience in a retail environment is desirable
Experience in a customer service role with face-to-face customer contact is desirable

Skills / Knowledge Required

Ability to initiate contact and communication
Confident, articulate and accurate spoken English
Ability to work hard
Ability to adapt to frequent change and a high pressure environment
Some (basic) computer skills
